NDSA upcoming tour of Buhr Remote Shelving Facility at the University of Michigan

The NDSA Wayne State chapter will be taking a tour of the Buhr Remote Shelving Facility at the University of Michigan on Monday, March 28 at 3p.m. We will be getting an inside look at the Preservation and Conservation area in the Buhr building, which supplements the storage capacity of library facilities, and prolongs the useful life of library materials in a preservation-sensitive environment. The Buhr Shelving Facility currently houses 2.5 million items.

The preservation librarian will be conducting the tour, which will take about 45 minutes, and then he will be speaking to students about his position.

Location and parking information is listed below.

Buhr Remote Shelving Facility
837 Greene Street
Ann Arbor, MI 48104

Parking: The parking lot at the Buhr Building is UM permit parking only. The only guest lot in the area is lot SC32. That lot is metered. There may be some street parking in the area as well.

We hope to see you there!
